E. L. Doctorow said,
“Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.”
and it is to this doctrine I subscribe however, I find the beam is weakening as I approach the NaNoWriMo deadline. I have just shy of forty-thousand words written, but the pace has slowed.
This weekend I–and many of you as well–will need to fuel up and power through.
Otherwise, at 11:59:59 on Sunday night — that whooshing sound we hear, will be the deadline rushing past.
I’m not going to let that happen to me!
I will beat this challenge.
You will too.
